TIME MEGEVE 2012
TIME MEGEVE SPORTIVE
TBC JUN 2012 (W/END OR WEEK)
The Time Megeve Cyclosportive continues to gain in popularity. This is a well organised event held in a very scenic part of the French Alps and is a great sportive in it's own right or as preparation for cycling events like La Marmotte or l'Etape. The event attracts around 2500 riders and there is a choice of 3 distances. In 2011 these were 80km, 105km and 133km and included the Col de la Colombier, Col de la Croix Fry, Col des Aravis and Col de la Saisies depending on which course you chose to ride. For 2012 Cycle Hame will be offering a choice of either a long weekend or a week Time Megeve package. The weekend option will run from Wednesday to Sunday, (Date TBC)June 2012 and the week starts Sunday (Date TBC) Jun and also ends Sun (Date TBC) Jun, 2012. We are also offering the option to stay until the Monday.
TIME MEGEVE 2012 ITINERARY
- You will be picked up from either Geneva airport or Moutiers train station on Wednesday or Sunday afternoon depending on the option you have chosen.
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday will be accompanied/guided riding days, either local rides or nearby classic cols and climbs.
- Saturday will be an easy ride or rest day before moving to your accommodation in/near Megeve(accommodation TBC) for the night.
- Sunday is sportive day with a choice of distances 85km, 115km and 143km(distances to be confirmed). You can decide on the day which distance you choose, climbs will include Colombiere, Col d'Aravis, Col de la Croix Fry and Col des Saisies.
- On Sunday evening you will be dropped off at Geneva airport or Moutiers train station.
- There is an option to stay an extra night before returning on the Monday.
